Golfweek's 2009 Junior Series....

will be comprised of four 36-hole events which will serve as qualifiers for the Junior Invitational. The top 5 boys and girls, including ties—based on a full field of 60 boys and 24 girls—in each event will be given an exemption into the Junior Invitational. All five events will be RANKED by Golfweek.

THIS JUST ADDED:
Golfweek's Junior Invitational has been recognized by the AJGA. Players who place highly in the Invitational, which will be played Nov. 7-8 at Reunion Resort outside Orlando, Fla., will receive receive special exemptions from the AJGA. See below for more details.


The four events that make up the Junior Series will be open to players ages 18 and under of ANY SKILL LEVEL.
The events will be filled on a first-come first-serve basis, and will be limited to 84 players.
Golfweek's/Titleist top-ranked boys and girls will be invited to complete the field
at the Junior Invitational in November.

The dates for the 2009 qualifiers are:

April 18-19:  Saddlebrook Resort, FL - RESULTS / VIDEO

 Sept. 4-6:  Treetops Resort, MI - RESULTS / VIDEO

 Sept. 26-27:  Longbow GC, AZ - RESULTS / VIDEO

Oct. 24-25:  Pine Needles & Mid Pines, NC - RESULTS / VIDEO

Those good enough to qualify...

Players who place highly in the Junior Invitational will receive the following from the AJGA:
BOYS
Champion:
Fully exempt
Top-5: 3 tournament exemptions
Top-10: 2 tournament exemptions
Top-15: 1 tournament exemption
GIRLS
Champion:
Fully exempt
Top-5: 2 tournament exemptions
Top-10: 1 tournament exemption
